Our fresh produce

At the Compasses Inn we take pride in providing fresh quality produce for our home cooked meals. Our head chef Erick is a strong believer in sustainability; we love to support local businesses within the village across the New Forest and East Dorset area.

 

Our free-range eggs are supplied from Crossway’s farm, an approximate 5-minute walk from The Compasses Inn. The farm has been a local supplier for decades.

 

For our signature summer hog roast, Allenford Farm located a mile away from the Inn supply the pork, the quality of the meat provided is impeccable and fresh.

 

All our fruit and vegetables are locally sourced from The New Forest, supporting our tight knit community.

 

A vast majority of our herbs and spices are freshly grown in our kitchen garden and by the end of 2023 we aim to be 100% self-sustained for this specific produce to reduce our carbon footprint.

 

All our meals are made on site using the freshest ingredients, For example all of our burgers are handmade by our chefs and seasoned to perfection.
